If you are searching for caravan shows in Australia this year, here is the short version: the spring run of shows is on right now, and the last few shows of 2026 finish in early December. Below are the ones we track, soonest first, with the venue. Dates were checked against each organiser's own website on 10 October 2026, and organisers do change things, so confirm the dates and ticket rules on their page before you drive anywhere.

Big show or small show?
The large capital city shows have the most makers in one place, which is what you want if you are still working out whether you even like a pop-top, a hybrid or a full-height hard-top. The regional racecourse and showground expos are smaller, but you can walk the whole thing in a morning, talk to the same salesperson twice, and see every van you came for without your feet giving out. Neither is better. It depends on where you are in the buying process.
- Still working out what you want? Go to the biggest show you can reach and spend the day just looking and sitting in vans. Do not sign anything.
- Down to two or three models? A smaller show is often easier, because you can find your shortlist quickly and look at each one properly.
- Ready to buy? Any show will do. What matters is that you have your numbers sorted before you walk in, which is the next section.
Do this before you go
The shows work in the dealer's favour when you turn up with no plan. A few things worth settling first:
- Your real budget, including on-road costs, not just the sticker.
- Your tow vehicle's braked towing capacity, GCM and ball weight limit. Without them you cannot tell whether a van is legal for you to tow. See can your car actually tow that caravan.
- Which makers will be there and which models you want to see. VanVerdict's show planner and Find a Van screen help you build that list before you leave home.
- A short list of questions. Our caravan show checklist is a good start.
Take the show home with you
By the fourth van they all blur together. That is the problem we built VanVerdict to fix: capture each van with photos, a voice note and the price you were quoted, so that on the drive home you are comparing records, not memories. Open it at the gate and start capturing before you have walked ten metres. See how VanVerdict works.
Questions people ask
When is the next caravan show in Australia?
On the dates we track, the next ones are Canberra (23 to 25 October), Brisbane (29 October to 1 November) and Lake Macquarie (6 to 8 November). Dates were checked on 10 October 2026, so confirm with the organiser before you travel.
Is it worth going to a caravan show?
Yes, if you go with a plan. A show puts many makers in one place so you can sit in vans and compare layouts. It is a poor place to decide on price or sign a contract in a hurry.
Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
Ticket rules differ by organiser. Each show's page on our shows list links to the organiser, who has the current ticket details.
Should I buy a caravan at a show?
You can, but do not feel you must. Take your tow numbers and budget, get the quote in writing, and sleep on it before paying a deposit.
