A caravan record built on evidence, not memory

The VanVerdict team

Ask most caravan buyers a month after a show what a particular dealer actually told them, word for word, and you'll get a paraphrase at best. That's not a failure of attention. Nobody remembers verbal detail that precisely, especially across half a dozen vans in one afternoon. What buyers need isn't a better memory, it's a record.

What gets captured, and where it goes

Every photo, voice note, video and typed note in VanVerdict is attached to the specific caravan it belongs to, not floating loose in a camera roll. On a Buyer Pass, voice and video notes are transcribed to readable text automatically, usually within about fifteen minutes of your next sync, so a rambling walkthrough recorded standing in a caravan becomes something you can actually read and search later, without typing a word on the day.

Spec boards get the same treatment. Take up to three photos of the same plate and VanVerdict reads them together as one pass, rather than needing a single perfect, glare-free shot. If a shot does come out too glary to read, it prompts a retake immediately, while you're still standing there.

Asking a real question, grounded in your own evidence

Once you've got photos, notes and specs on a caravan, the Research page lets you ask a direct question about it and get an answer drawn from what you've actually gathered, not a generic response about caravans in general. A small free allowance comes with every account; Show and Buyer Pass holders get a larger daily allowance for it.

There's also a "tell us what you need" box on your Buyer Profile: talk through what you're after out loud, budget, layout, must-haves, and VanVerdict pulls structured criteria out of it automatically, filling gaps you never got around to typing. It's the same idea in reverse, evidence in, structure out, so your own priorities end up as something the app can actually score against.

If your free allowance runs low, a small one-off top-up from Settings keeps research, the profile interview, and automatic spec reading from photos and brochures all working, without turning into a subscription you have to think about.

Why this matters more than it sounds like it should

None of this replaces your own judgement. What it does is make sure the judgement you make three weeks and a dozen caravans later is based on what actually happened at the show, not on which impression happened to stick. That's the whole promise behind "know before you buy": not more information, the right information, attached to the right caravan, still there when you need it.
